How to Train Your Dragon (Cressida Cowell, 2014)

It so happened that every Viking should have a dragon. Someone keeps cows or dogs in the household, and the Vikings keep dragons. It is important to note that at a certain age, they need to catch and tame the beast themselves.

The son of the leader of the Hairy Hooligans tribe, young Hiccup has reached the age when he needs to pass the test. This means that he must find and tame a dragon, otherwise he will simply be expelled from the tribe.

Unfortunately, the boy is not the strongest on the island of Berk to catch a dragon, let alone tame it. But he has no choice, so he goes to the cave in search of a dragon.

Instead of a strong and scary beast, Hiccup finds a small green dragon with a nasty character. However, later it will become a loyal friend for the young Viking!
Together with Toothless, the boy goes through many trials and adventures, travels a lot and discovers that courage and a good heart are much more important than muscles.
