The Lion King (Elizabeth Rudnick, 2019)

A very joyful and exciting event took place in the hot African savannah: the lion king Mufasa had a little heir. Adorable Simba is set to be the next king as his father’s reign comes to an end. However, with the appearance of the evil and merciless Scar, the king’s younger brother, the Circle of Life is at risk of being interrupted. After the tragic death of Mufasa, baby Simba is forced to flee, as he considers himself to be the culprit of the tragedy. By doing this, he gives up a quiet life in the family and a bright future.

However, after a while, the grown-up lion is visited by a ghost from the past, who asks him to save the kingdom. Simba is not sure what decision to make. Should he remind everyone of himself after all that happened? Or continue to live a carefree and familiar life? This gorgeous, gripping book is based on the timeless and always popular cartoon from Disney, The Lion King.
